Description

This stone stairway continues for about 200 meters before reaching Sanneizaka. The entire vicinity has been designated as an important preservation district for groups of traditional buildings. Along the path, you can see the styles of machiya-style townhouses and ultra-fine latticework windows preserved. It is also known to have been the temporary abode of Japanese poet Yumeji Takehisa.
