Cat cafés have been a signature phenomenon of Tokyo for a while but Cat Café MoCHA unites the fascination for our furry friends with a unique style and elegance. Now, the sixth store of the cat café franchise has opened its doors.
Located in Harajuku’s Takeshita Street, one of Tokyo’s trendiest spots, Cate Café MoCHA opened right at the entrance to the famous shopping street, on the 12th of December 2016. It is almost hard to imagine that around twenty unique cats live in the stylish café with its very clean appearance and the absence of any smell you’d expect from a space full of cats.
Cat cafés have been made popular by TV and magazines, but due to the comparatively big number of cats that call MoCHA their home, you won’t encounter the issue of having nothing to do because they’re either of many cats or all of them are sleeping.
Cat Café MoCHA is famous for its “meal time” – every day at 10:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m., you’ll be able to see the café’s purrfect inhabitants lined up in front of their bowls, feasting on breakfast and dinner.
The café can be enjoyed for 200 yen for 10 minutes, the drink bar for 350 yen, and snacks to feed the cats with are available for 500 yen (tax excluded from all prices).
