Daiichi no Okurimono, a restaurant in Tokyo’s Ueno, knows exactly what we want and need in the cold winter months – it is holding a cheese fair, with a buffet focusing entirely on different cheese-centric dishes! From melting hot to sweet tastes, cheese lovers will find themselves in seventh heaven!
The “Winter Cheese Fair” and its cheese buffet is held at Daiichi no Okurimono in Ueno, from December 5th 2016 to January 15th 2017, incorporating both very popular cheese dishes as well as those you might’ve never had the chance of trying!
Especially recommended is the hard cheese risotto which can be enhanced with your choice of favorite kinds of cheese, the amazingly delicious sushi creations with cream cheese and salmon, and the cheese fountain that works just like the popular chocolate fountain. Why not try a bit of everything?
A proper buffet also needs desserts and sweets, and of course those are centered on cheese as well. Thirteen different kinds of desserts wait for you, such as the incredibly fluffy soufflé cheesecake, and a tiramisu made from thick cream cheese and flavorful cocoa. These desserts can only be had during the Winter Cheese Fair, so don’t miss out on them!
Daiichi no Okurimono’s Winter Cheese Fair can be enjoyed for 1,800 yen during lunch on weekdays, and for 1,990 yen on Saturdays, Sundays, and national holidays. Dinner costs 2,900 yen per person, and there also is a plum wine all-you-can-drink plan for 3,480 yen, plum wine and draft sparkling wine for 3,990 yen, plum wine and sour ale for 3,990 yen, as well as a premium all-you-can-eat plan for 4,290 yen.
If you’re craving cheese, this is the place to go!
