For many people, breakfast is the most important meal of the day, so why not make sure it's the tastiest? We certainly recommend eating a hearty morning meal before spending the day in Tokyo, a city where you will need all the energy you can get. However, just because you're in Japan, it doesn't mean that Japanese food is the only option to power up in the morning. In fact, Tokyo is home to many delicious and stylish restaurants serving up breakfasts with an international flair. So, let's take a look at three of the best places for international breakfast in Tokyo!
eggcellent: Authentic NYC breakfast right in Tokyo!
At eggcellent, located in chic Roppongi Hills, you can eat excellent egg dishes made with fresh organic eggs delivered directly from the farm every morning. Even the interior of the restaurant is decorated with an egg motif. We think you'll agree that its stylish and cute atmosphere adds to the "egg-citement"!
The chef's specialty dish, Eggs Benedict, is a New York standard breakfast, and the perfect choice to savor the maximum flavor of fresh eggs.
We particularly recommend the"half & half" Eggs Benedict. You can enjoy two dishes on one plate: standard Eggs Benedict using English muffins, and another version with quinoa for those wanting an especially healthy and nutritious option. The homemade English muffin is covered in mouthwatering bacon and rich eggs, making for a truly exquisite harmony.
Enjoy a New Yorker feeling in a spacious and charming restaurant!

ISLAND VINTAGE COFFEE: Hawaiian atmosphere and generous portions
Hawaiian cafe ISLAND VINTAGE COFFEE is another of our featured restaurants. Have an appetite? You can eat the mega-sized sandwiches and salads that have become so popular in Hawaii. They go extremely well with the authentic Hawaiian Kona coffee that is served freshly brewed.
The cafe's signature Acai Bowl is made with plenty of organic granola, drizzled with organic honey imported from Hawaii. If you are only a bit hungry, the half size is perfect. Cold, sherbet-like acai is topped with granola, bananas, blueberries and strawberries. The organic granola has a gentle taste and a crunchy texture that just may leave you coming back for more.
When visiting the Aoyama shop, the dish to have is the Island Waffle, a menu item limited to this particular branch. There is plenty of fresh fruit on waffles with acai flavor. Many say the waffle's taste and texture, with a crunchy and crispy outside and a springy inside, is nothing short of addictive!
Enjoy an "Aloha mood" and eat happily!

Hanami: Try breakfast from 18 countries!
Hanami is located on the back streets of Omotesando. Incredibly, this restaurant features different breakfasts from 18 countries around the world! The interior of the restaurant is decorated in the image of a luxury hotel, with a modern, open atmosphere. There are breakfasts you may have never encountered, including some from Portugal, Morocco and Norway, among others.
If you cannot decide what to eat, we recommend the Manhattan: a basic breakfast with a bagel, scrambled egg, bacon, smoked salmon, and cream cheese salad. This is a great chance to eat the seldom found in Japan, New York style bagel. It goes perfectly with smoked salmon, cream cheese, and fluffy scrambled eggs.
If you are feeling really hungry, you will want to order the Argentina breakfast. With 300 grams of juicy steak, both the volume and the impact is exceptional!
If you seek novelty, how about the Portuguese breakfast? It's a Portuguese-style Eggs Benedict featuring eggs and octopus on a crispy English muffin. You can enjoy both boiled octopus and raw octopus! You will be excited at the variety of menu and the taste of dishes in this restaurant.
So, take your taste buds on a mini holiday with a breakfast from the country of your choice!
